Jeri Kansas realized her childhood dream of becoming a ROCKETTE on the stage of RCMH the summer after graduating from high school. Eye high kicks – the signature of the Rockettes – had Jeri opening up in the Easter show.

Peter Gennaro who choreographed Annie on Broadway was a guest choreographer at the Music Hall. Peter selected Jeri and 5 other Rockettes to dance on the Mike Douglas Show. He gave Jeri the opportunity to land her first Equity contract in the Millikan Breakfast Show. Millikan was a highly respected live industrial show that employed the cream of the crop of Broadway dancers presented at the Waldorf Astoria.

Regional theatre followed – Showboat, Mona Lipschitz in Chicago and her first Original Broadway cast credit in SUGARBABIES starring Ann Miler and Mickey Rooney. Gower Champion then handpicked Jeri to create the role of Phyllis in 42nd Street starring Tammy Grimes, Jerry Orbach and Lee Roy Reams. Most recent regional credits include Anytime Annie at Candlewood Playhouse and NC Theatre, Eulalie Shinn in the Music Man, and Tessa Tura in Gypsy.

Ms. Kansas has taught numerous Master Dance classes of all ages and levels. Sharing her passion of dance and the pure joy of movement inspires all her students. Come dance!!!
